1.  Have more fiber and eat plenty of fruits, legumes, and vegetables to protect yourself from high cholesterol, certain cancers, diabetes and other seriious problems.

2.  Eat a varied deit to get all the vitaminsa nd minerals you need to protect yourself against disease.

3.  Instead of animal proteins, eat more soy foods or products. Research suggests that tofu and other soy foods may reduce risk of heart diseases, certain cancerfs, and osteoporosis, as well as menopausal symptoms.

4.  Men and women alike should take calcium supplements as well as vitamins D.

5.  Take a multivitamins that contains 400 micrograms of folic acid and a vitamin E supplement containing 100 to 400 IU to protect yourself from those serious health disease.

Pets

For those of you who have pets, I am sure that you will agree with me that caring and tending of our pets brought inner satisfaction in ourselves.  At times we love our pets dearly more than the people around us who does not even care for us a bit.  Like the dog for example, even though how bad the weather is, you would always find the dog at your doorstep to greet you.

Here at home we don’t have the dog but we have cats.  I got this sort of favorite one (because there are no other else to like) who i thought is a she but it’s only the other day i found out that it’s a male cat.    I was so happy because it’s only his mom who is going to give birth to more kittens in the coming weeks.

Now here’s the meowww that all this time i thought is she —

This is the sleepy head.  He loves to sleep in the mornings that even though how much i play with him he just continue closing his eyes but i know he is fully awake because his short tail keeps thumping. :)

My mom too is very attached to her chickens.  We have chickens around and if she did not send our goats away then this place would be a little barn.  My sister gave birth last week so our lil herd of cows was sold to pay up our hospital bill.  My mom felt sad selling the cows but it is better because we dont have budget for cattle supplies no matter how low their prices these days. We need some medical supplies when the mother cow gave birth. As we sold them, one of she cow is also pregnant so we sold them at 36K.  3 cows at 36K because it’s not only 3 cows, they are already 3 and a half as the other young cow is pregnant with her first. :)

Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness.
It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose.    ——————  Helen Keller

Books for our Spiritual Health

If you are a Christian, am sure the number one  book for your spiritual health is the Bible.   I read do read the Bible together with other self help books.  Stories of courage and determination, failures and successes in the Bible makes us inspired to go on because we know that life in this world is just temporary.    When Dimple was still a baby, i used to read her some Bible stories, day and night before she dozes to sleep.  She loves it.  She listens to me like she understands every word that i said to her.  It’s nice to have Christian books at home to maintain our spiritual health.  Not just adult books but also kiddie books.  We have two kinds of Bible story books (12 volumes and the other one 10 volumes) at home and as she grew up she has read each one from cover to cover.

Kids these days seems to think that books are useless as they live in a very high technology world.  So everything is being seen on the screen.  Our entertainment area in the home is full of discs for leisure watching.  Here at home we have general movies as well as kiddie movies and those for the kids are based on Bible stories.  Dimple loves them all until now that she thinks she is not a small kid anymore. :)

For now i’d like to have a DVD copy of this:

Am sure everyone here at home would love to watch it especially Saturday afternoons.
