FTF & FF – Sweetened Kinilaw

If I want to venture into business – like stopping my current job and go into business, id like it to be food. Many agree with me but all of us are working moms. We personally foresee great sales when it comes to food business. But we have checked out the top franchises 2010 and we can’t find food business on the first top 10 category. So, internet cafe is second in the list. We need a hefty sum of capital to get this thing started.  This year or next year.   Many suggests we all go for loans but loan is not yet the solution to the problem now.

Before I get so stressed up, I should now post my entry to FTF and FF -

– FISH KINILAW –

I did not taste the kinilaw because am not fun of eating kinilaw.  But i know that this tastes sweet because  the one who mixed it mistakenly put in the sugar instead of the salt.

Pareho tayo, I don’t eat kinilaw din although my dad makes the best kinilaw na dilis.
Food is always the good business,as long as you find the perfect spot na matao, then you are good to go.

now that’s interesting … sweet instead of sour! :)

i wasn’t a fan of kinilaw before, that is, until a friend from Dumaguete made one and i got hooked (i think he also used coconut milk, that’s why his kinilaw tasted differently wonderful for me)! i don’t just about eat kinilaw anywhere, though. would love to learn how to do this … :)

thanks for playing again, Arlene
enjoy the weekend!

Di pa ako nakatikim ng fish kinilaw,sa totoo lang…

11. arlene commented on February 07, 2010 at 7:56 pm

@ peach – i just tikim a bit but i am not so much fun of this.

12. arlene commented on February 07, 2010 at 7:58 pm

@Mai – yeah nagkakamali yong gumawa kasi magkatabi yong plastic ng sugar and salt.

I am not really fun but i just tikim if i saw how it is made. Lai Lai Restaurant of Iligan makes their kinilaw with cream (and yes coconut) can also make the kinilaw very palatable.

It’s a pleasure to join the game, Mai!

@ Luna – ive tried eating tuna fish from breakfast to dinner but not with kinilaw recipe. Did that in General Santos City. I tried to be adventurous in foods but i slow down on foods that are raw and with vinegar. Feel ko lang kasi di masyado healthy ang bituka ko.

@Girlie – thank you for the visit!

@Mirage – i think this one is malasugi. Fish meat really great for kinilaw. Around 380 per kilo.

16. arlene commented on February 07, 2010 at 8:02 pm

@Willa – hmmm masarap din yang ang dilis. :) like ko din dried dilis.

17. arlene commented on February 07, 2010 at 8:02 pm

@Jan – hahaha pareho diay ta. Try daw kinilaw sa Lai Lai Restaurant, Jan. Basin ganahan ka.

18. arlene commented on February 07, 2010 at 8:03 pm

@Mylene – oh really. never tasted liempo yet. :)

19. arlene commented on February 07, 2010 at 8:04 pm

@Cai – malasugi ito. Bariles is nice for kinilaw too but the flesh is red. this malasugi one is abit pinkish.

Hello Lene, am back.. ay oo ‘yong nasa utak ko malasugi but I can’t find the name though it’s at the tip of my tongue already, I admit am mistaken.. heheh.. malasugi pala iyon.. ‘yong bariles at tuna kelangan pa’ng kumutin para mawala ang langsa, anyhow—malasugi is the best in kinilaw.. my uncle used to do it before in special occasions and I remembered putting some evap alpine or sprite and it taste yumm-o! Thanks for the reply Lene.. muahhh!
