Dulce de Maria
I saw some ripe ones yesterday when we went to my mom’s place up in the highlands of Opol, Misamis Oriental. I can say i miss Dulce de Maria since i haven’t tasted one since mid-80′s .
The plant is crawling plant. It goes its way around a plant or a tree and clung to it until it bears fruit. The fruit is being covered with a see-through green covering so you will know if the fruit is already ripe or not.
The fruit turns yellow when they get ripe. I took the 4 ripe ones i saw and washed it. The taste? it’s a bit sour and also sweet. I wish i can get a broader info about this edible wild fruit but i dunno the scientific name of it. So i better check out this I dunno what’s the this wild plant called in English but it looks like this: cytosport muscle milk review because this might be another product that will enhance ourselves health-wise. I know milk does good for our body because it gives us the calcium that we need. But the sound of muscle milk is very new to the ears. So i better check on that after posting this.
I am not sure if i can go back there next month but if i can i will check out the patch again if there will be ripe ones. When we were still small kids, my siblings and i really contest our way to pick the ripe ones. We just love the idea of picking them.
