My mom worked in the hospital since she was single until her retirement at age 30.  Her white uniforms have accumulated throughout the years.  ONe time we wonder what to do with them because they can’t be hand down to anyone as they are whites.  Several years before her retirement, they switch from whites to colorful scrubs.  I love their different colors for different days.  Mom had quite a set of those too until she retired.  The nice thing about those scrubs is that, she still wore them at times although she is not working in the hospital anymore.

In their department they have their scrubs tailored locally.  Others have it ordered online.  When the wearing of scrub suit started there was some resistance.  But working in medical environment it is just a must that everyone must wear medical uniforms.  Long time ago, scrubs were just for OR uniforms but now, no — the style and the comfort it gives to the wearer has gone out into the other service departments.
