FT & FF – Jackfruit if You Like
I am one of the persons in the world who do not like nangka (jackfruit) very much. I love the smell, but the means of cleaning it up to be eaten curb my appetite to eat. I don’t like to feel the mess in my hands. The tagok (tar) is just too much.
My mom knew that am this kind of person so at times, she lovingly clean some meats for me and id enjoy eating it. if i can have more than 3 whole pcs of this then am done eating. The color and fragrance makes my mouth water. But if i see it still in it’s shell then i can give it up even for nothing. =)
The one photographed here? They said it’s very sweet. But i never tasted it. hehehe…Do you like to have some? Then feel free to grab one.

favorite ko ‘to! when i lived in Cubao many years ago, i used to buy ripe langka at Farmer’s Market at yon ang baon ko to watch a movie at Ali Mall.:p apply oil on your hands before touching it so the tar won’t stick to your hands.
everytime i go to Tagaytay, may uwi lagi akong langka–amoy langka ang kotse kahit 1 week na.:p
oh yes, the boiled seed is also yummy.:p

Yummm! I love langka with my ginataang alpahor. Sarap.
I agree, it’s hard to peel. Good thing there’s a place in our market that sells them peeled, by the gram.

Same here, I’m not a langka person but I do love the smell too. Some mix langka in leche flan. It enhances the smell, makes it more appetizing.
