FT & FTF – Pasko Paksiw Pasko
Say Pasko Paksiw Pasko very fast then listen to yourself i you can perfectly recite it.
Anyway, my entry for this week is ————— paksiw!
Fish Paksiw
I shopped for some vegetables Tuesday evening. I said i don’t have money for grocery, but i felt pain at my lower back maybe due to daily eating of noodles and pancit canton, so i decided to buy some vegetables. I picked malunggay, kangkong, cucumber, and carrots. I almost didn’t pick fish thinking i don’t have money. But it’s been awhile shopping good food for me – so i just closed my eyes to the fact that i use some money that am saving up for other purposes. hahaii…
As of now am feeling better. I don’t feel pain anymore.

hehe, nice tongue twister.
what are those leaves that you mixed with your paksiw? doesn’t look like malunggay, or kangkong. i miss eating paksiw like the ones at home (papa just adds salt, water, and garlic), with the fish really really fresh (as in caught that day). but we make do with what we have.
i hope the pain won’t be back…eat healthy, sis!
ps. i add in the links manually, sis. hehehe, ma.trabaho, but well worth it. Lahat tayo will benefit from the meme.
happy weekend!

Bay leaf on fish paksiw… that is something new for me. I love fish paksiw – especially if there’s chopped tomatoes, onions, and bagoong on the side.

@Mai – that is bayleaf. Dahon ng paminta. The fish is fresh too kaya great for paksiw. if i am home in my home with family i sure would love to make that into sinabawan. :0 ..
Ingredients i had for this was just fish, soysauce, sukang puti, garlic, and a little salt. This would have been yummier if it has ginger and red onions. But the garlic did wonders alraedy.
