I saw this Golden Buddha in Bangkok, Thailand during my first visit in August 2008.  It was really golden.  I wish I could touch it but did not but it made me wonder where did they buy gold to make up a whole golden image of the Buddha.  I am sure they need a lot of gold to make up that image.  I think this is not the only golden Buddha in Bangkok but according to the guide, it’s the only whole golden Buddha there is to see.  The Laying Buddha is not golden from head to toe but this one in the photo is really golden.

Now I am wishing I could travel soon.  I thought of buying a ticket to Thailand during the Php1 sale but then I decided to go somewhere else.  So Thailand and China — 2013 only.

I am in for this week as I missed both this meme very much. Good thing the meeting did not push through so I got some time to post this entry –

Since 2012 started my wish to have my own home is really bugging me.  I do not have lots of money to buy a whole house in cash but if I want I can have enough to start a building a nipa hut. lol! No way, seriously, I wish to assume a house but since the tragedy of Sendong, it is hard to find a house for sale.  We even have friends who are still staying in evacuation centers because there are no house even for rent.  There is house shortage here in our city now.

In case my wish will be granted, I really want a nice kitchen. It need not to be huge and wide but at least there can be enough space to put up a sink, a regular size ref, an oven, cupboards, and some kitchen cabinets.  I also like built in shelves for microwave ovens and even a kitchenaid dishwasher. With this kind of imagination, for sure, a nipa hut won’t allow me to have these conveniences.  I wish i can have an island type kitchen but if space is not available then having the traditional design is enough.  Traditional but with a bit touch of modernity.

I like my kitchen to be painted with light color, then it must have two glass  windows that will look out a garden or a nice view from the sink area.  I can imagine that it will be one of my best place to spend time at during my retirement years.

It’s been long since I had the time to cook for myself and the family. With the demands of work, my mom seldom let me do the cooking. But she knows that when everyone at home who can cook is down – then I can do the cooking by myself. My cooking day wish is more of like a leisure cooking. It is like experimenting on simple and healthy dishes. Since the cooking place is outside our kitchen door, I feel weary to make this wish come true. My ideal kitchen needs not be spacious, but at least there is a sink, there’s lot of water, and I can do things with just one turn of my back, or reach a condiment with just a tiptoe. I wonder when I can have my own home with my ideal kitchen so that I can make this cooking day come true.

It is almost the weekend now, but there’s not much ingredients to be used, so I will try if I can do it next weekend.

The fish was taken yesterday during lunch.  Looks yummy but actually, the company of 7 were not able to finish the whole fish because it does not taste like it looks.
