Foods Enough to Feed an Army

Food for breakfast for the IT/BSBA students who spent the night at Midway Beach Resort:

The breakfast was almost at mid-day because it took them some time to start the fire.  This big wok of noodles is to be a breakfast for more than thirty people.   Together with that, they also prepared sardines with eggs and sauteed squash.  Simple food because they decided to go to the market after breafast.

Of this three dishes, it’s the squash that was not enjoyed much.  It tastes right but young people nowadays prefer to have instant foods rather than vegetables.   The leftover was still served during noontime and I am not sure if everything was all consumed because I left the table much ahead to get myself ready for the travel back home.

It is a great experience to experience Midway White Beach Resort in Initao in just less than two months. With that span of time so much improvements has been made. It is like every time I go there, there’s always something new that makes their services really customer friendly.

I stayed in a standard room with Tata and her family and also Esther. Though I was wishing, Esther and I can rent the cottage right at the top of this 3-storey building. But we are out of budget as of this weekend, so spending the night with Tata’s family was the perfect choice. Their prices are right. You get what you really pay for. So it is always a must to do some research and get fedbacks from fellow vacationers/travelers if they would recommend a certain place. Talking of booking hotels, this remind me to check out how to book orlando hotel because a friend in Germany wanted to fly to Florida to spend a month during the winter season.

She looks forward to spending winter in a sunny place. I invited her to fly to the Philippines as it is always summer whole year through. But she said that she will, two years later yet because she spent some time here last year.

Food Friday & Food Trip Friday 102: Health Combo Meal

Healthy combo meal served at Manila Adventist Medical Center Cafeteria.  Their combo meal costs Php 75.00 and consist of 1 serving rice, 1 serving of vegetable dish of your choice, and 1 serving of meat-like recipes that serves as substitute for animal meat. To me, it’s a good combination at a good price. So even if am in Manila, I cannot patronize fast foods every meal because whenever I am just nearby the hospital, I do have my meals at MAMC cafeteria.

For everyone’s information, MAMC is serving Lacto-ovo meals.  Same with Mindanao Sanitarium and Hospital Nutrition and Dietetics department.
