Obviously Violating the Laws of Health

Last night, i was with fever and that induced me to go to sleep early.  I was in pain (burning pain).  I was not yet sleepy because of the bothersome pain so i decided to drink Mefinamic Acid.  As the pain subsided, i become weak and eventually fall asleep.

Normally am still wide awake at 10 or until 12 or 1 am but last night around 10 i was already asleep.  The result?  I woke up on time for worship without a hassle.  I didn’t fight my way out of bed.  I even heard the buzz for the first and second warnings for worship.  I feel my body was recharged.  No backaches or neck pains.  I was kind of active.  The insides of my mouth have no pain although i can still feel the uneven nodes.  I was feeling so well that i was strong enough to do half of my laundry.  :)

Why i’d say am violating the laws of health – it is because Healthy Lifestyle requires TEMPERANCE.  We must be temperate in all the things that we do  and that includes our work.  The reason why am staying up so late is because am working on my blogs (not to mention browsing on Facebook) but if you are a blogger especially a work at home blogger and your source of income is just blogging, so staying up so late at night is just a norm.

We failed to realized that we will reap the result in our lives later.  I had a quick chat about this with a friend earlier and he said that yes, am violating the laws of health.  I am not in the position to disagree because i know it myself that I am violating health laws through the following:

1.  Sleeping late.  Regular late night sleeps due to work online, facebook, movies.)  I reasoned out that am Insomniac but i guess if insomnia will be treated in a natural way, insomnia will just be a history.

2.  Diet. Not dieting because i just eat anything or any food that i served to me.  I eat a lot of junk stuff like noodles and processed foods.  I eat all and most of the times eat more than one serving.

3.  Exercise. Regular exercise gives a good benefit to our total health yet i don’t do it often.  Reason?  Laziness.  Just plainly lazy.  I reasoned out that i have too much work at times, but if one is serious to sticking to the exercise program, then one has really have to move her or his butt out of the office chair and race to the gym or play a game or two with any physical sports.

4.  Water.  Water is very important to our body but at times because of my tight schedule, i failed to drink at least the 10 glasses of water daily.  I think i do better this time compared to the previous years when i just remember to drink water if i see a water faucet or water dispenser. :)

I am hoping that this year will be a healthy year for me so i am making some changes in the way i handle myself when it comes to the food i eat, the amount of water i drink, my will to exercise daily, and yes will try to sleep earlier than usual. :)

Loss of Water is Dangerous

How many glasses of water do you take each day?  Do you wait still wait for the time you feel thirsty then that is the only time you get up to get a glass of water?  Do you drink more soda than water?  Do you have more coffee than plain water itself?  Well, water in its plain form is the most important substance our body needs but we always take for granted its importance.    According to an author,  A loss of 20-22% of body’s water could be very dangerous.  And forcing the body to work with limited amounts of fluid is like trying to wash the dishes in a cupful of water.

If you are taking any medications, the more we need water to in our body.  Water helps us wash out wastes in our body.  To maintain good health, we should drink enough water.  One health professional said that right amount intake of water can help one lose weight.   Maybe because drinking a glass of water before mealtime will let you cut back the amount of food you are going to eat.  In taking weight loss pills we also need a lot of water to help regulate our body. It depends on how a person reacts to the pills, but for some, they really goes in and out of the comfort room as side effects of the pills.   Long time ago, i took some pills and oh my, i need water to replenish the liquid i lost as i was already discharging water.   Weight loss pills helps many but I am not sure if it works well with everyone.   So before anyone grabs a pill to help him or her lose weight – they should check the product first if it is the right one.

Again, don’t wait for the brain signal that you are thirsty.  Even before you get thirsty, grab a glass of water.  We need at least 8-10 glasses of water daily.

I just feel lucky to have children who does not have any problem with allergies.  Although me myself is allergic to pollen and high protein foods, but my kids aren’t experiencing any symptoms yet.  Knock on wood, i hope it will never happen.  But it rans in the family.  I have cousins who are very sickly when they were small good thing now that they have become teenagers, allergy attacks are minimal already.  One of the ways my aunt did to prevent allergic attack was to provide allergy bedding at home and in the the boarding school or where ever they are going. So parents out there if you have children who are prone to allergies, check out these bedding materials for these might be the solution to your allergy problems.

Saving Money Yet Still in Fashion

I was going through the fashion section of the newspaper earlier and i was admiring some tailored dresses and styles.  Right away I can imagine how much they are worth if I have to buy them from signature shops.  So i browsed online on how to be still be in fashion yet save money at the same time.  It is very much applicable to girly fashion compared to men. I often go for women fashion but today i also took some time to check out   men’s clothing. I have to check out father’s day gift ideas to be shared with my cousin who celebrates father’s day with his dear hubby. I can just imagine that if am currently with a hubby then for sure i’d like to pick up some gifts for him.

I think women can’t live without skirts, scarves, crop pants, long dresses, and drapes then men can’t also live a life without belts, coats, and ties.  Men can live with just  a pair or two of good sleek shoes but for women – oh my they can purchase several pairs every week if they want to.

Personally, i can live with what is needed but it is not bad to buy what I wanted if I can just afford it.  :-)   I plan of saving up P800.00 to buy that cute footwear i saw in a Mag store at Kit Kai yesterday.  I wanna have that before the season ends.
