Yummy Sunday – 18th Entry

Congratulations to YS! It has reached 100th week this week. More weeks to come.

Here is my entry today:

We had this in our Friday evening get together at home to celebrate 4 birthdays. Birthdays of my mom, me, and my two cousins. This pancit bila-o is representing the food that will make us live longer. :)

Tomato Day!

Today is the fifth day of our DARE program (don’t ask me the meaning now because i forgot but am going to post the information of the program later) and we call this tomato day.  All our food comprises of tomatoes (fresh and a bit cooked).  Check out the photos ^-^

Because it is Saturday, a special day, we had tomato bread and tomato juice.  I so love the juice. I had 3 medium glasses of it.  So i end up going to the bathroom almost every 20 minutes when i arrived in the dorm.

The juices today are:

BLENDED PURE TOMATOES

 

We had this tomato juice for lunch. I thought I will not like it but I did.  The ice cold temp made me love it more.  That’s made up of ripe tomatoes.

NOTE: All foods are vegetarian.  We had some egg in the morning together with the tomato salad but it was just egg white.  The tomato bread is made up of wheat flour.


WATERMELON TOMATO JUICE

We had this for dinner.  But the taste is common as I can taste it like watermelon shake.

So that’s our food for today and everyone looked forward to the next meal.  Tomorrow, it’s carb loading day and I will share my photos for weekend eating. ^-^

Double Murdered Eggplant

I’d like to share with you one of my favorite eggplant recipes.  I love this on weekends when the eggplants are cheap in the market. 1.  Sliced the eggplants thin enough and then fry.

1. slice the eggplant thinly

2. slice and then set aside

After frying, heat some oil and put in onion and garlic.  Diced tomatoes is a plus but it is okey if there is none.

–onions –

– diced ripe tomatoes -

Ripe ones are the best as they are juicy.

After they are cooked, add in the fried eggplant.  Then let it simmer.  Then add ketchup or tomato sauce and then season to taste.

Add in the chopped cheese

This is the yummy double-murdered-eggplant topped with cheese.

Next time am gonna do this, i will buy the cheese that is already ready for spreading on the recipe.

Yummy Sunday & Weekend Eating 4 – Beef Siomai

Beef Siomai!

I had this last night. =)

I love chinese food but Chinese Restaurant is not so common here in my area especially at night time.  Chowking was not the first choice last night.  The first was Inasal but when the place was full and the 5 of us has to wait yet, so we decided to heed to Chowking.  There we got a table and i got beef chowfan and this.  Two of my companions had fried chicken, one got orange chicken, and the other got bangus serving.

We enjoyed our food and after eating we were excited to go home to eat the 1.5 liters of Selecta Durian ice cream.  My treat as it’s my turn this month. =)  I can’t wait for next month. hehehe

It’s been awhile since i went out with friends for dining out.  So I was so happy when the 5 of us – Me, Ma’am Ann, Sir Long, Sir Jo, and Sir Garry agree that we eat out and then will have ice cream later.    Group photo will be posted as my weekend memoirs.
