Another type of buko salad. I guess this is more colorful compared to the buko salad i posted before. Though this one is more meaty and my previous post was with more buko water.

Yummy Sunday – Vege Salad

P1090773

I find out that people nowadays ate more veges during get togethers compared to three years ago. We had this fresh vege salad last month while entertaining a visitor. It was indeed a healthy choice.

Vegetables used:

carrots
cucumber
singkamas
lettuce

dip:

a blend of mayo and catsup.

For me id like to add a drop of olive oil so that our body can absorb the vitamin A. :)

FTF & FF – Sweetened Kinilaw

If I want to venture into business – like stopping my current job and go into business, id like it to be food. Many agree with me but all of us are working moms. We personally foresee great sales when it comes to food business. But we have checked out the top franchises 2010 and we can’t find food business on the first top 10 category. So, internet cafe is second in the list. We need a hefty sum of capital to get this thing started.  This year or next year.   Many suggests we all go for loans but loan is not yet the solution to the problem now.

Before I get so stressed up, I should now post my entry to FTF and FF -

– FISH KINILAW –

I did not taste the kinilaw because am not fun of eating kinilaw.  But i know that this tastes sweet because  the one who mixed it mistakenly put in the sugar instead of the salt.

Eat More Fruits

Last Sunday, we went out for a thanksgiving celebration.  Our group won the 2nd place last December and it was only last Sunday that we went out.  It would have been a high time for us to eat lots of meat dishes but we decided to go neutral but more on fruits.

While the assigned members went out shopping for the vegetables and fruits, they happen to read a flier regarding door hardware and other home products that is durable but very affordable.   I still have my copy and will visit Citi Hardware this weekend.

Here are some of the fruits we had last Sunday:

Some still think that chicken and beef recipes are the best foods for party but for those who are observing the healthy lifestyle – it is now a high time to eat more fruits. :)

I take food pictures but that does not mean i love to eat them.  I know that many loves to eat this recipe but i tell you, I don’t eat this kind of salad.  I can’t take the strange taste of radish.

Happy food day everyone!

FTF 31 – Kinilaw Nuggets

P1010009

Are you fun of fish kinilaw?  I think many people are.  For me personally, i just eat a piece or two and nothing more.  Though i like the smell and the taste but am just being careful with my stomach.  I had this acid attack since college.  I blame it on eating too much pineapple almost daily for many years.

Months ago, we had kinilaw galore and there was a lot of left overs.  It would be a waste if we will have to throw them away.  So, one of my colleagues suggested that we would transform into nuggets. :)

Directions on how to make kinilaw nuggets:

Segregate the fish meat.  Drain the broth or water of out them.  (use hands)
Sprinkle with Pamirsa (chicken coating)
Dip in beaten eggs and then
FRY

Great with catsup!  It tastes so yummy because they still taste kinilaw.

Farmer’s Delight

Weeks ago, we celebrated the 15th founding anniversary of the college so there were too much meat dishes.  We had a banquet Sunday evening and we have to eat left overs the next day.  So that Tuesday, we can’t afford to eat any single meat dish again so we had this -

P1010015

- camote tops salad -

P1010012
- fresh tomatoes with boiled eggs and raisins.

It was truly a delight!
