No Ultimatum For The Future of Arsenal’s Superstar Duo

No Ultimatum For The Future of Arsenal’s Superstar Duo

Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez will not be granted an ultimatum of take or leave about his future, according to Arsenal’s Arsenal manager Wenger.

Talks about the future of the superstar duo of the Gunners are indeed continuing to drag on. Though Sanchez and Ozil contract will run out the end of this season. Attempts of approach and negotiation have become the main agenda of the London Cannon in recent months.

Speaking ahead of West Ham in the 17th week of the Premier League this weekend, Wenger responded to reports that Ozil had been given a final offer of 275,000 pounds a week. The Frenchman denied the news, saying talks are still ongoing and have been cultivated quickly in the near future.

“Talks always happen, and will be done with all players. Our door is always open. I can not talk too much to you, “said Wenger.

“I’ve spoken several times that we want to keep them, now, that’s what we can say. The best way to deal with this type of thing is to keep it as secret as possible. ”

Asked further whether Arsenal had given an ultimatum or insistence on both players in the form of take or leave, Wenger replied emphatically “No!”

Wenger wants Giroud to survive

Another Arsenal player who also has a floating future, and is considering leaving in the winter transfer market is Olivier Giroud.

The French international striker has just equaled the record of former Manchester United superstar Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with 17 goals as a substitute in the Premier League. Giroud scored that goal while saving the Gunners from a defeat over Southampton.

But Giroud, who was linked with Everton last summer, has never featured as a starter in the Premier League from 13 appearances this season. Wenger prefers to install Alexandre Lacazette as the main striker.

“He [Giroud] is not a super-sub to me, he is a regular player. I have a lot of good strikers and I can not play them all together, “Wenger said.

“I speak to all my players but it is very difficult to talk about what we are talking about. He is a very important player. I have high respect for him and I am an admirer of Olivier Giroud. ”

“See how many caps in the France team he has since he joined Arsenal. I do not think he’s wasting his time here, ”

“Personally, I want him to stay at the club until the end of the season and we’ll see. I can give you 10 more reasons. Any player who does not play wants to be played since the beginning in the Premier League. “He concluded. (Source: Standard.co.uk)
